We're not sure exactly when, because he's not really verbal, and the few sounds he would make when looking at books, we thought he had just memorized. Because really, who pushes their 2-year-old to learn to read? It took him bringing me a pack of (unopened) flash cards and telling me "white" - which was what the example card said, along with a picture of a white horse - to get me to realize he could read.<br /><br />This comment brought to you by someone who completely agrees that it's a developmental thing that kids get when they get... and not before.
