An Open Letter to the World

I do not care about Oprah or her show. I am sure she is a nice lady and she seems to have been successful, but the end of her show does not affect me in any way, shape or form.

I also don't care about Arnold's "love child". Aside from the misnomer of "love child" which bugs the shit out of me - I mean, was he in "love" with the mother? If so, OK. Otherwise just use "child". But really, I don't care.

And also, I am not surprised or shocked that anyone's marriage isn't as Fabulous as it may look on the outside. Can we all stop being so holier than thou? Humans are HUMAN.

Same with any member of the Kardashian family. In fact it pains me to even know the things I know about them.

I don't watch American Idol, Or Survivor, or any reality television. It makes me angry, in fact.  Therefore I do not care about who wins, who loses or who did whatever.

All right, carry on.

Me neither. On all counts. Canceling cable as soon as the Stanley Cup Playoffs are over.

Agreed. All of this mess is just the contemporary version of a day out to see the circus freaks.

I do watch some tv...but it is sparing, at best. Honestly, most of our media is now online/downloaded, so there are shows I watch, but in a DL version.

I find the noise to be irritating, but moreso I find the ridiculous whipped up controversy even more irritating.

God I wish the Kardashians would go away! I taught Kourtney Kardashian for two years and Kim Kardashian for a year my first two years of teaching in LA, and it's so strange and sickening to constantly see their abs and cleavage on the covers of all the celeb gossip mags. I wouldn't mind so much if they were actually famous for something. But it's really strange to see these two kids I used to teach five days a week with this horrifying, sterioded-out life.
