We voted in our new home, Wisconsin.
I like to think we helped to tip the balance.
Emily asked me to wake her when the election was called. I just shook her gently and whispered that President Obama had been re-elected. She sighed, "Oh good" , and rolled over and went back to sleep.
Yes, my love. We can both sleep easier tonight.

2 Baleful Regards:
It's almost 1 am, and I haven't been able to sleep because they haven't spoken.
Unfortunately, I live in a state that is embarrassingly red, so my vote didn't deliver electoral votes for our President.
Fortunately, my vote helped make sure that a man, who unrepentantly views pregnancy that results from rape as a "gift from God", will not represent us in the Senate.
I am in Ohio and thankfully we did it!!!
I must say John Husted, our secretary of state, trying to suppress the early vote in every way possible made me a bit nervous for awhile.
As I said four years ago, I LOVE waking up and having Barack Obama as my President! Everything feels right! What a lovely daughter you have, too! (I assume Emily is your daughter?) :)
