No one expects the Spanish Inquisition

or my alternate title...
"I always feel like Somebody's Watchin' Me"

Pssst. Internet. I think they're onto me at work. I got a little "hint" from a friend whose (Please note, possessive used correctly) spouse is one of the top dogs at IT for our company.

I think a network proxy log must have shown that I am spending too much work time at "blogs".

So, I still love you all very, very much. But it appears that I must only do my reading and commenting between the hours of 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. EST. At least until I can figure out how to cover my tracks at work....

So forgive me if I am a little slow in reading and responding. It isn't for lack of wanting...But the damn Iron Maiden will really cramp my style, not to mention my shoe size...

The same thing just happened to me - all blog access is now blocked - but you seem to handling it with much more humor than I did. I love Monty Python!

I found your blog through comments on breed em and weep.

Damn those Spaniards!

Bummer, dude. But you gotta do what you gotta do.

That's only like, my worst fear *ever*.

I've wanted to use "no one expects the spanish inquisition" as a post title for a while now. And now you have me beat.

Better watch out-- they might give you The Comfy Chair!

(Noo! Not the Comfy Chair!)

I have no internet access at work (what? Like dog groomers don't need the internet?) so I have no worries as far as that goes.

Darnit.

I've have gmail, what, a day and a half. GUESS WHO IS BLOCKED NOW?

I think the honeymoon, she is over. fuckers.

I hate finding religion. Or work to do.

I thought about blogging at work, but decided against it because:
A. I don't have a laptop, and
B. Even if I did, using it while running sprinklers probably wouldn't be a good idea.

I try sooo hard to be good... sooo hard. Can't get to my e-mail, but blogs are strangely, tantalizingly accessible.

So I hear you. Do you think they have some sort of 12-step program for bloggers whose access at work has been suddenly curtailed?

Holy....
I don't know what I would do. Luckily (and I'm not trying to rub it in your face here) I'm required to have access to e-mail because half of our workers work from home and I need to send them messages all day. And my boss comes into the office like once a week...
Can he tell where I've been even if I delete history and cookies everyday? (or every other day?) cause if he can then I'm in trouble...

I'm with Jess, that is like my worst fear ever. But not a big enough fear that I stop!

I'm sad you won't be around in the day! Stupid work

Ooh yikes! At least you got a gentle nudge.

We'll see you in the PM.

Ouch! So sad! But I always did wonder about my friends with desk jobs and the vast quantity of time they seem to spend on-line for reasons NOT related to work. You mean, they're not SUPPOSED to be emailing me and reading blogs? Oh...

Now that my husband thinks I have some kind of "problem" on the computer, I can only get online 8-5, and only then if both kids are asleep, otherwise occupied or tied up.

Why must the world do this to us? Can't we all just blog along?

Lisa said...

That sucks. Hope you find a way around soon. Reading blogs keeps me sane. But then again, I don't "earn" get a paycheck. :-)

Then lucky for me that 8:00-11:00 pm is exactly when I'm online reading blogs and email. I'll keep my eye out for ya ;)

I work out of my house, but I spend too much time online and am about to take out a network proxy log* on my own ass.

Are you sure that thing is an iron lung? I think I saw one in my gynecologists office.

*As you can tell I have no idea what this is so I will use it inappropriately in a sentence.
