Puttin' the "Jesus F-ing Christ" back into Christmas

Saturday, December 24, 2005

Well, Here we are again. Christmas Eve. Emily is on high alert and has been shrieking at various times since she woke at 6:30 a.m.

I'm not kidding. You'll be doing your thing and suddenly "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
comes from the other room. I think of it as her "tea kettle" mechanism. She is so excited that she can barely stand it, and in all honesty it is Fun to see her like this.

So I leave you all, the blog friend world, with tidings of comfort and joy.

I am one of the Q&A folks on "mommybloggers" this round. Check them out!

Big-A keeps asking, "WHEN can we open presents? Now?" Then 5 minutes later, "Is it time yet?"

Tonight we're giving her the Cinderella DVD, so she'll be in heaven. And then when Santa comes? Forget about it.

Merry Christmas to you and your family.

I'm heading over to mommybloggers to check it out!

I feel your pain/pleasure. The short person at my house is revved up to warp speed at the very idea that Santa is coming tonight. On the one hand, I'm enjoying his excitement, as the older kids have been over the whole Santa thing for awhile now. On the other hand, if I have to sing 'Santa Claus is Coming to Town' one more stinking time, I'll scream.

I remember that feeling. How fun to get to relive it through your daughter.

Merry Christmas!
